Goulburn River is a former 880 hectare grazing property and adjoins the Goulburn River National Park. The property is les than 50km west of the Upper Hunter Valley and Central West Coal fields.
A full ecological inventory is currently being undertaken, This page will be updated once these studies are completed.
The following vegetation types have been recorded on Goulburn River:-
- Grassy White Box Woodland (Endangered Ecological Community)
- Blakely’s Red Gum alluvial woodland (Part of Grassy White Box Endangered Ecological Community)
- Dwyer's Red Gum Woodland
- Ironbark, Cypress Pine, Bulloke, Grey Gum Sheltered Open Forest Woodland
- White Bloodwood Exposed Open Forest
- Narrabeen Sandstone Ridgetop Woodland

The following threatened species have been recorded on the Goulburn River property:-
- Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby, endangered in NSW
- Grey-crowned Babbler, vulnerable in NSW
- Turquoise Parrot, vulnerable in NSW
The following threatened fauna species are predicted to occur on Goulburn River:-
- Glossy Black Cockatoo
- Barking, Powerful and Masked Owls
- Brown Treecreepers, Speckled Warblers,
- Regent Honeyeater, Painted Honeyeater, Black-chinned Honeyeater
- Squirrel Gliders
The following threatened flora species are predicted to occur on Goulburn River:-
- Prostanthera discolour
- Ozothamnus tesselatus
- Kennedia retrorsa
The following management activities are either underway or planned:-
- Cessation of grazing and firewood/fence post collection
- Fencing to keep stock out from adjoining properties.
- Wild Pig Control
