Glen Davis - Capertee Valley is a former 330 hectare grazing property that adjoins the Gardens of Stone National Park, 120 km north-west of Sydney, 30 Km north of Lithgow.
A full ecological inventory is currently being undertaken, This page will be updated once these studies are completed.
The following vegetation types have been recorded on Glen Davis - Capertee Valley:-
- Capertee Limestone Hills Grey Box-Grass Tree-Spinifex Grassy Woodland, 28 ha (Part of Grassy White Box Woodland Endangered Ecological Community. This vegetation type is unique to the Capertee Valley and is not represented in the reserve system)
- Capertee Marl Box Grassy Woodlands, 132 ha ((Part of Grassy White Box Woodland Endangered Ecological Community)
- Capertee Box-Narrow-leaved Ironbark-Callitris Grassy Woodland, 21 ha (Part of Grassy White Box Woodland Endangered Ecological Community)
- Capertee Rough-barked Apple – Redgum – Yellow Box Grassy Woodlands, 33 ha (Part of Grassy White Box Woodland Endangered Ecological Community).
- Mountain Gully Grey Myrtle Dry Rainforest, 1ha
- Capertee Grey Gum-Narrow-leaved Stringybark-Scribbly Gum-Callitris-Ironbark Shrubby Open Forest, <1ha
- Capertee slopes Red Ironbark-Red Stringybark-Narrow-leaved Stringybark shrubby Woodland, 41 ha

The following threatened species have been recorded on Glen Davis - Capertee Valley:-
- Regent Honey-eater, endangered NSW & Australia
- Brown Treecreeper, Speckled Warbler, Diamond Firetail and other threatened woodland birds
The following threatened fauna species are predicted to occur on Glen Davis - Capertee Valley:-
- Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies, endangered in NSW
- Koala and Spotted-tail Quoll
- Swift and Turquoise Parrots
- Glossy Black Cockatoo
- Barking and Powerful Owls
- Hooded Robin
- Broad-headed Snake
- Red-crowned Toadlet and Giant Burrowing Frog
The following threatened flora species are predicted to occur on Glen Davis - Capertee Valley:-
- Eucalyptus cannoni
- Prostanthera cryptandroides
- Prostanthera stricta
The following management activities are either underway or planned:-
- Cessation of grazing and firewood/fence post collection
- Fencing to exclude stock from adjoining properties
- Fox and wild dog control
